replacing clutch
im turning my tc into my project car this summer and dropping a turbo into it. planning on dezod or turbonetics and runnin on a daily 6-7psi of boost (might boost controller that has 2 settings) and 8.5 psi when on the strip (i will timeslip the car when its done for sure)
i know im gonna have to replace the stock clutch. if i run it on a low boost setting and im not whaling on it too hard i should be able to drive the stock clutch for a few mile right?
i was plannin n the turbo kit then mabe 10,15000 miles up the road do the clutch. will it slip alot if i run like say 235whp and just treat it as my daily driver?

the stock clutch is good up till about 200-220whp. any turbo kit you get should be out putting more then at even at low boost pressure. for example a Dezod kit at 7psi (8.7psi spring) with stock exhaust should put out around 240whp. you can ride it with the stock clutch just don't get on it to hard. however it will ultimately need replacing.
best bet is to just do it all at once. that's what im doing. i have a ACT modified Street clutch which ill be putting in when i install my kit. it will hold the power while still retaining good daily drivability.
