think about it - your removing the whole first cat with the header swap .... you will get more sound (and the guys that are no running the second cat in the midpipe .... and no resonator .... sounds horrible ... you want to sound like a civic ... you would be on the right road).

I got another plan, plan B if you will, and want to know what you all think.

Remember how I said the dezod na s pipe back is my favorite and the one I wish I had gone with? Well I was thinking and the only difference between the dezod and mine is the actual muffler and possibly a small resonator size difference.

I emailed dezod and they told
Me $150 shipped for the dezods muffler from the kit. I'll just replace the ark
Muffler with the dezod one.

It's the sound I want. I just hope it works.

well hopefully it does work out for you, man... mine sounds nice just the way i want it and no rasp at all. you should also get your hands on a s-pipe to make it sound better.

what are you going to do with the ark muffler?!?!?! i'd like to replace my muffler with that one! let me know if plan on selling it in the near future!!

Whats a S-Pipe?..Is that similiar to a downpipe? have any pics of where its located. If it deepends the exhaust tone I might considering buying one for my gfs TC along with a Megan Midpipe

Dude - ill help you out. Can you wait on this? If you can I will go to my parents house this weekend and look at my header. I am going to put my turbo on and things got delayed. I have a strup header with grey jethot. I forget what I spent on it ...$500 total maybe. I forget. I took it off but need to make sure its in perfect condition. I really didnt look it over when taken off because it was getting late. If so Ill sell you it for a few hundred. Dont take the resonator off - im tellin ya. I have been on the form for 5yrs or so .... The car doesnt get much of a hp gain with intake header exhaust but the car does drive better. Keep your intake the way it is now and keep the resonator because the car does get rasp and it will sound horrible if you put a header on. Have someone not keep slamming into the redline .... meaning ... have someone go into your car and let off close to the redline ... go in the back of the car and listen when the person lets off. Picture someone playing a kazoo as hard as they could as the car gets to redline. That will be the sound you will hear. Maybe you like kazoo's .... else ... you are gonna hate it.

Ya it goes:

header --> s-pipe (or downpipe) --> midpipe --> exhaust

^ the s-pipe and midpipe are the same thing - different name for it. There is one pipe comming off the header called the s-pipe or midpipe (you choose the name). It looks like an S shape ....if you streteched the S out. Its a small pipe and is wider so more air can get out... hence upgrading it.

If you are upgrading any parts you do them in pairs. Change the exhaust and then put a header and intake on at the same time. OR change the header/exhaust/spipe and then do the intake later. Point being, it changes the way the car drives and its good to pair them up so you notice the change. I was doing suspension things and performance things ... do a little of both so you can drive the changes and learn more about what they are doing.

I have a ding in my spipe so i left it on - im not going to sell that. Better to just buy a new one and put it on. I think normal cost is $150ish

Ok, this is the sound I had in mind when I bought the damn thing.

Ignore the kids- its not my video.

So according to his video description, I need headers and s pipe and I guess it will sound like that.
