When it comes to resonators dealing with rasp, does size determine their effectiveness? Would a long resonator perform better that a short resonator? How about a short resonator that has a large diameter? Is it length or diameter that determines a resonator’s effectiveness?

^^ lol but yeah and its more on the length, but there are good quality resonators that arent too big but does the job well

 

I've heard that Vibrant resonators are good. They are 14" in length and about 6" in diameter.

I could also go with a Magnaflow that is 22" in length and 4" in diameter.

Out of these two which would be more effective?

The areo is only 10" in length and 4" in diameter. Had it welded it in and it didn't do much.

i have aero and for a 10" resonator its great.. vibrant is a good brand but havent heard much of their resonator

Do they work on if its say 20" it cancels out the 65-70mph drone range, or if its 5" its the 10mph range? Is that how it works or am I crazy

i got this 22 inch magnaflow resonator it was working like a charm but after one year i got much more rasp... it seems like the resonator worn out...

 

You think two 18" Magnaflow resonators that are 4" in diameter would kill my rasp?

you would scrape the 6 inch ones.. get two of the 4 inch ones!

yep.. it will be fine.. of course it wont make any miracles but it will help a lot.
if you dont want rasp go back to oem header.

 

differant sizes and lengths will make differant effects at differant RPMs.....it is hit or miss to find what you like best....for me 2 shorter resonators seemed to work better than one longer one.

 

I would go back to the oem exhaust manifold, but I like the look of the header.

 

i would go with 6" round and with 18" or larger in lenght. youll have no rasp with that set up.

 

CSOCSO says that a 6" would scrape. I'm thinking that there should be enough clearance. Then again I don't have my tC slammed.
