Scion TC cannot shift into gears...
Hello,
My car would not go into any gears, 1,2,3,4,5,rev. when it is ON. However when the car is off, it goes into all the gears. I have a scion 05 manual transmission.
I took it to the shop, he changes out the clutch. Doesnt work. He changes the clutch again, doesnt work, not he is telling me he has to take apart the transmission... is this right?
I can't help but feel something is wrong here?

Updating for anyone who might be having the same problem...
They replaced the clutch but that wasnt it, however I still had to pay. The problem was there was something loose inside the flywheel and had to be replaced. End of the day $1400

Stock flywheel or no? If its the stock flywheel there's nothing to replace on the flywheel. Its a solid metal plate. If its an aftermarket flywheel with a replaceable center plate then some screws were loose? Agreed that it could have been that the person installing it. Ive installed two clutches in my tC. I had the same problem with my first clutch and it was a loose spring in my clutch plate.
I'm glad you got it fixed, but I'd find another shop. They're just throwing parts at it until it fixes it. Which it finally did fix it, but they mess up but you have to pay? um.. not cool and not very professional.
