short ram or cold air intake???

short ram or cold air intake???
a couple of weeks ago i had almost got stuck at the beach and lost my wheel well so i had to short ram my intake so it wouldnt get wet and i noticed that the car seemed to get off the line alot quicker with short ram so which is actually faster cold air or short ram?

I had something of the sort happen to me and I lost my wheel well also. I had to chang back to the ram air. My car responds soooo much better with the ram. I wish I would have done that from the start.
