EXTRA NOTES

If you're looking for a place to buy any of the above parts, try visiting our Sponsored Sales area or the Parts Section to hopefully find a good deal. And if that doesn't find what you're looking for, Google isn't a bad place to go from there.

Those of you wondering about the bushings, know that many of the short shifters may already come with new cage bushings, so make sure you know what you're getting before you order anything extra. Either way, both sets of bushings (cage and cable) are a worthy investment if you want a more solid feel when shifting!

If you know of any corrections/additions/subtractions from this list, just post a reply or PM me if needed.

Ya, I always kind of thought they were too... but I knew the TWM one was pretty extreme. I have the CC though and I love it.

Here's a pic of the CC shifter installed:

The TWM Stage 2 is probably about another 1" lower - depending on the ****.

Does anyone know the difference(s), if any, between the TWM Stage 2, and "pre-stage" TWM shortshifter-- that is, the shifter they sold before they offered different stages? I have a TWM from when they were first released, and mine seems to sit as high or higher than the posted CC shifters:

Or am I crazy?

The "pre stage" one might have been their current stage 1? Though looking at it, looks like it's lower than that one... I'm not sure.

i know it's freakin pricey, but I love the TRD. I bought it as soon as it was available and have no regrets. It tightens up the slop and I don't drag my forearm across any drinks in the holders.

Yeah Doc, that looks to me like the current stage 1. Could be wrong though.

I drove a tC with the TRD SS and I like it alot. I didnt like the look of it though. Still stands about the same as stock as far as hieght. Shift were really smooth.

Can't really compare it to anything-- I put it in 5 days after I got the car. I do know that the shift throw from 1st to 2nd gear is 1.875", measured at the very top of the shift ****. How does this compare to anyone else who might be equipped with a ruler?

Ya... someone else mentioend that somewhere else, but I didn't add it.

I'll put it on now though - but I really don't know if there's a drop or not. Sounds like maybe not by reading the review on the site.

Does it wiegh more then the stock ****? Really doesnt matter anyway. I'm stil using the stock **** with the stage 2 and it feels fine. A wieghed **** might be nice but IMO not a must.
