THE Short Throw Shifter Thread
They go under the white shifter housing with the smaller part actually fitting into the bottom of the housing. You have to remove the old rubber bushings to put them in.

OK, I have a question that hopefully makes some sense.
Coming from an offroad background, I don't have any experience with cars and things, so this is my first time shopping for short shifters. Anyways, I remember reading on a different forum that some SS designs lead to enhanced vibration in the shifter and extra noise. Is any of this true for any of the short shifters available for the tC?
Thanks.

Anyone here use the ARK SS? Just curious because according to the chart the throw is the same as TWM Stage 2 but the height doesn't change.
I prefer the height stay the same since I don't place my hand ontop but rather grab the shifter from the side. Anyone use it?
Thanks
Rob

ARK is basically the same as the TRD height wise and shift wise...
The TRD is superior, even better that I got the soild shifter bushings, the shifts are precise, its an amazing mod
And with the TRD you dont have to reach down low to grab the shifter. Stock height is perfectly fine for me.

Just installed my new momo ****. Matches perfectly with the interior of the car. While I was it I decided to install the stiffer bushings. WOW!!! What a big difference does it make. Feels Alot Better!!! I would like to put some pics, but I dont know how. If any1 can tell me the steps I will gladly put them on.

The **** that I just got from Momo is about the same as the Ark **** that they give you but it looks nicer. At least it does to me. It also, doesn't have a sticker to put on the top of the ****, it is screwed on and can be switched to another top just with an allen key that they give.
