Default Slight Rasp

Stock exhaust with Injen short ram intake and dc sports header installed...im getting what we all are afraid of a little bit of rasp...anybody know if its the stock exhaust making the rasp?, or the header because i want to get a sp2 cat back but i dont know with my set up if thats just gonna make the rasp a whole lot louder...any suggestions?

I have the sp2 and MMW headers with a fujita intake there is a good amount of rasp at 3k- about 5k rpms. But only if you get on it really really hard. You cant tell otherwise when the car is starting or just idling. Sp2 is a good choice though.

I have an Apex exhaust with a tenzo short ram exhaust and at first i didnt have a rasp. after i got my intake, about a month later, i noticed a raspy noise coming from my exhaust when i slammed on the gas. At first i thought i had a hole in my exhaust. I got it checked out and they told me that my exhust was breaking in since more air flow was taking place because of the intake.... I wouldnt worry about it. I was at first because i dont want my car to sound ricey but it sounds sporty. Depends what type of Exhaust u get.

the exhaust is what causes rasp...you need an 18-20" resonator placed behind the second catalytic converter and you will be good...that is all

Well technically you could...you'd just have to cut the huge stock one off its the long thing right after the main cat which is right after the s-pipe in case you weren't aware. Good luck on getting rid of the rasp.

that is what i was going to say is to go and get a resonater becuase i have the same raspy sound after i hit it out 3K so ummm how much will it cost for a resonator or does it depends on the shop that installs it??? i was already quoted i think $20 for the part and then $100 for the install at an import shop.

Dunno, the resonator I'm gonna get is 85 bucks. Gonna have an exhaust shop put it in when they weld my Magnaflow cat-back sys. together too.

Wont an aftermarket resonator be louder than the stock resonator?
