Well on Monday my landlord told me that my car was too loud. I replied I'll get it fixed. I talked about it. My muffler has a hole on the crevice on where the pipe curves down from the engine.
It's pretty loud when I start my car. But I really want straight pipe on my car. But I have heard various muffler shops do straight pipe.
​​​​I said if I get it fixed I want a straight pipe my parents seem to think that straight pipes are illegal.

Anyone can answer but if you live in South Carolina it really helps.

Is illegal to have straight pipe on your car at all?

Does your annual vehicle inspection include an emissions test? Straight pipe will fail emissions testing.
