I have a 2007 scion tc, I have recently been hearing a really high pitch sound, it is almost like squealing brakes but I hear it when I am driving. I know its not my brakes but that's as far as I can go. Has anyone else heard anything like this with their cars?

 

When does it happen (when braking, constant speed, etc), and how fast are you going? I had an issue with my rear sway bar, the bushings got dry, had to grease them up. It makes a squealing noise when I am going under ~20mph and being constant or braking/slowing down.

 

I hear it when driving under 25mph and not when breaking.

 

Make sure your dirt guard for your brakes aren't hitting anything. You can push them back without really messing anything up. Nothing drastic, just get it away from the brakes some.

 

does the sound go away when you use your brakes or change in any sound?
