not prob a huge diff, but he has the bigger rims than stock too..not sure how much it'd change hp gains vs stock 17's? i run 18's on mine, but i do notice a load of difference with stock rims on. turns easier and feel the less weight...

Anxious to see once u fill up, check and see how much mileage u get please, and post it. When u fillup do u top it off? i do mostly, and i usually get 200-230 when i hit 1/2 tank area, and get around 315-330 on a full tank right before gas light comes on..curious to see how much gas it eats! iaverage about 23-28mpg on average with mixed city/highway...if can, post up those #'s please!

I dont think i've even gotten to 300 with a full tank. i think the best i've gotten is around 250 maybe its because i got the 18's? and then i also drive fairly aggressive

 

i get those #'s with my 18's, but i drive just regular w/ a high rev here and there. mostly on the expressway to pass tho...when i drive a little harder, i get barely 300..do u notice it eatting gas quicker than normal tho yet?

 

damn... i must be driving really aggressively then... i honestly think the best i've gotten is like 255 or maybe 260..... what do roms do you usually keep it at / shift at?

 

on back roads i usually shift around 3 or 4K, rarely go above 5K to shift for normal driving..unless in a hurry, i treat it nice haha.

How much did it change your gearing? ie like in fifth gear, how many mph are you off at 2000rpm from with the 17s?

Bigger/heavier wheels take alot more effort to turn, and yeah, thats gonna happen, you could get some lightweight 19s but in my experience, lightweights are either a) extremely expensive or b) ugly, especially for the amt you pay =P

 

I get about 20mpg at best too carlos, its just that I tend to get on it alot ,and alot of it is im lazy or more interested in saving my transmission =P like if im just going down the block and I know i gotta stop again at a light or at a tight turn ill just keep it at 3500rpm in 2nd and cruise up, prolly better than downshifting all the time on the clutch anyways I mean, i revmatch but still, i figure i can hand a few more dollars at the pump and extend my tranny/clutch

 

yea... well before the s/c i probably averaged 21mpg. i just filled up today, so i'll let you guys know how it is w. the s/c. i never had 17s... the RS1.0 comes with the enkei 18s.... they're sweet.. plus red is obviously the fastest color

 

man he the 2nd video that guys over reved it. sounded nasty. plus i think if you had better motor mount the motor would have better numbers.

 

at what point did he over rev it? he just hit the gov.

 

ok, due to more rotating mass, u might see a little less power if the 18s w/tires weigh more. gearing shouldn't change if he's got the proper sized tire on there(should be same overall diameter), which he should, as it's a factory option, and he's probably got the stock tires on.
