Yea, it's definitely tight in there after the s/c... so you are right...i would suggest doing the header, cuz if not you're going to have to take the s/c unit out in order to install the header. The only reason i havent put on a header is cuz im not satisfied with any of them out there in terms of the CEL and then the fixes for the CEL. I personally believe there's no need to go cat-less because that's only going to give you benefits wwaayyy waay up there and i personally prefer the power low end, so without a cat you loose the backpressure that that's going to give you that low end power and torque..... so i am just going to have to get one custom done.... now if only i had any money left....
OT, but the CEL problem basically isnt one if the anti-foulers are done properly. Most of the people who are having CEL problems have admitted to damaging the O2 upon removal. FYI, most of the power gained by a header is from removing the first cat. With your SC youd probably see a good 10-15 HP boost with a header.

Since we are on the subject...sort of...my question is(not to hijack this thread in any way) does any type of forced induction (preferably a s/c, cause that is what i wanna get) change the exhaust tone at all?(specifically the rasp problem most have had with headers).....I have searched this and no results were found.....if this has been answered please point me in the right direction to find the answer.....THANKS!

and congrats on the s/c it's been a long time for a lot of you and have fun!

Well guys, pending the acceptance of my credit and all, I will be in a brand new SW S/C tC in 3 weeks. I am trading in my BCP tC and getting a brand new supercharged one.. And YES I am financing through Toyota.
They will be taking the mods off of my car, including, 3" -HeaderBack exhaust, Short Shifter, and 245/25-17 G Force KDW-2 tires... I cant wait to get my new baby.... Then I will hope to get her dynoed after a few weeks of "training"... Hehe..

Nope, both are manuals... I had wanted a white tC from the beginning, but would have had to wait 8 weeks when I got my car. Now I am getting a white tC with lip kit, and I like the steering wheel volume controls, and the few bugs that get worked out after a car has been out for a year...

Ya... if I traded... it would be for an '06 SW.

Are they going to let you finance the SC with the car? B/c I don't think they're supposed to. Or are you going to pay for it separately up front and just have it installed when you pick it up?

I don't know if I'd get the S/C before the car's broken-in but that's just me.

From the SC brochure via TRDUSA.com:

The Supercharger is to be sold only as a dealer installed or over the counter option, after retail sale of the vehicle. The supercharger may not be sold to the customer at the same time as the new vehicle and may not be financed together with the new vehicle.
Not trying to contradict you or anything... that's just what it says.

They are allowing me to finance the S/C yes... From what the salesperson said that they are financing an amount of money, so whether it include the S/C or not, they can.. Hell, they can even possibly cut you a check for $3,000 and then have you finance that.
But, this may also be because I am trading in a car, so I am not financing the entire value of the new car.

Yes, it says that.....but again, its dealer choice
just like the dealer sets price on the vehicles and acc. costs
all dealer choice, they can go with what toyota/scion want or say, or do what they want to bring in the business.
as long as everthing is posted

Now it might be the choice of the dealer to include the SC in the financing but I read someplace on dealer daily that if they do they will take the responsibility of the warranty.

I will have to look it up when I get back into work.

mpg is a big factor. Someone that has the s/c has to know the answer to that.
