I know you're excited, but I'd take the time of breaking in your engine first. Just go for a really nice LONG drive. I'd put atleast 500-700 miles on your car before you take it to the track.

If he wants to go to the track next weekend, I say go for it! Those track #s are very important! But if it will jeopardize the reliability of the engine, don't rush into anything just for our sake. ;)

Seriously though, thank you guys very much for going out and getting these numbers for all of us. I've found it extremely helpful in deciding which forced induction route to take.

I have it installed and I tried to drive the crap out of it a few times. LOL. No more fun till it gets dry around here and I get a few more miles under the belt

Thanks for all the info so far you guys.

I'd imagine you'll probably need to put some good milage on it to the let computer readjust to all the new settings. I remember reading in that thread about unbolting your exhaust that the computer took about a day to readjust to that little mod, so in a few days I would bet that Carlos would dyno even closer to an even 200whp.

And thanks Scion-ce for contacting Vortech and getting some info about the compressor, should make things very interesting when some people's warranties start running out.

I'm so glad it's finally out, I've been waiting a long time to get some definitive numbers on it. Now I just need to convince the wife that it's a good idea :D

QUICK QUESTION:
Maybe I missed it but does this car have a header or exhaust and IF so which ones. I would think it strange to drop for a SC and not be the type of guy to already have added these mods.
Info?

Those are GREAT numbers...so much for the estimated 200hp at the crank

Gah, I need money!

it's not a new intake manifold. it says intake manifold in the install instructions, but it's the supercharger discharge..it's what sends the air to the intake manifold(on the engine)..that's what it looks like atleast.

WOW nice numbers... So the question is: What i better? super charger or turbo?

With winter a few weeks away im going to wait but in the spring I will be doing one or the other I think. Just wondering what the advantages are of each. I would guess the S/C is less strain on the engine, but I could be wrong. Under warrenty is also a nice feature...

supercharger is more strain on the engine because it is connected to the crankshaft by pulleys and a belt, whereas a turbocharger is driven by exhaust gases.
