Supercharger Update (vids, pics, & #'s are up)
Hey guys, sorry I'm late. LOL. Anyway, picked up my car at 6:00PM. This is the part that sucks. Its raining like a **** out here where I live. tCarlo lives in the same county as me, so I don't think he was able to open her up either. Guess I have to wait till its dry to really see what this thing can do. By the way, THIS THING IS HUGE!!!!! The compressor is GI-NORMOUS!
That's WAY better than I had expected from all the speculations ...! Maybe S/C wound be a worthy upgrade and I'm sure aftermarket or TRD will come up with more stuff to harness more HP out of that thing!

192whp = about 225hp. It was underrated by 25hp!!!
The only thing between this and 300+ hp is a 50 dollar pulley from vortech.
The compressor they used for the TRD supercharger is capable of 450hp and 20psi
With 192 hp and 172 tq, any estimates on how it'll perform in the real world??? I've driven the cobalt ss, which has similar #s (a bit more torque though) and that car pulls pretty hard. Do you think we could expect results comparable to that (0-60 in 6.2 and quarter in the mid 14s)?
And for all those Honda lovers...
supercharged scion tC : $20,000 - 225hp about 180ft/lbs of torque
2006 Civic si : > $20,000 - 197hp (205 the old system) and 139ft/lbs of torque.
Verdict: s/c tC > new civic si
And for all of those that care, this thing pulls like hell on the top end!

I posted a 157 horse and 161 torq. on a NA tc. STILL not bad 4 the haters.

Not to get off topic here, but has anybody else besides me been to ebay, they got like 3 or 4 supercharges on there, the lowest one I've seen is like around $2800, I wonder how reliable these companies are that are selling them.
That is some SOLID numbers. That is with all the cats in place! The car with a full exhaust system would add another 20hp or more at the wheels I bet. A header on a NA did what, 15hp? Very nice indeed.
AWSOME AND PERFECT! I am so glad trd did not go crazy with the map! WOOHOO! That means if you got 192 whp that means approx 220 crank. Then you add in the parasitic loss of the sc of say 15hp and that nets you an engine trying to put out around 235hp!
Knowing those real numbers now we can assume an approximate 10.75 hp per psi of boost!
So if you can keep compressor discharge temps down to a minimum with a decent ic then at 12 psi our little tc's should be rocking right at 250+++ whp!!!
I know a few cars that are going to get spanked on the freeways with our cars aerodynamics and low weight hehehe.
