yeah chowee21, it'd be nice if you filled out your profile so people could have some base info on your tC when answering your questions :D

I have an 08 tC and I have noticed the same thing. Right when I either park or stop it will have a rumbling idle, but it doesnt appear that the RPM's drop though. My car is bone stock too.

Brand new, I noticed something today though. As I was leaving work, I had the fan on. I stopped at a red light and it idled kinda funny. I turned off the fan, and it went away. Next stop light it didnt idle rough. Give it a try and see what happens.

your AC pulls power from your engine... this is usually normal to hear a difference in idling with the ac on.. however do keep in mind what these 'noises' are as it may be other problems.

Is your car auto? Maybe you beat on it too much. I had the same problem with my grandfathers car.

Was it a private buy? or of a lot? what was the car's history?

if you know a good mechanic just have him take a look at it and give you his/her opinion on it... a car that young shouldn't have problems unless someone beat it to death.

my car does that too every now and then when im cruising and then throw it in neutral and my rpms go up then down and then when i come to a stop it settles at 1000rpm and then goes bak down to regular idle

these cars have a very loud valvetrain, ticking tapping very normal sounds like a clicking noise almost especially whne u have aftermarket parts i started noticing all these lil noises after i installed my intake and my header, alot of toyotas have very loud engine bays
