Default tC intake system

I was wondering if anyone has an intake on there tc?? My friend used to work at Injen, he was going to get me a CAI but found out that the intakes for the '05 tC's didn't stat at the throttle body??? He said the intake pipe starts after the Mass Air Sensor due to some C.A.R.B regulation.... Can someone shed some light on this subject for me...cuz i'm really interested in getting an intake but don't want to get one if its not going to be beneficial to the performance.....

carb issues arent due to the placement of the pipe or how the pipe is designed

the o2 sensor is pretty close to the throttle body as is. so its not gonna move

i believe the carb issue is in the filter. in our stock air box, there are 2 filters. the AIR filter and the carbon filter...

and i believe companys are having problems with allowing to much air into the engine and allowing to much CO2 into as well. so many intake companys have taken back there product and is back at R&D.

i believe K&N and INJEN both had this prob

Does anybody have any input on which intake to get? I know almost nothing about performance stuff for cars, but spending the past few months focused on my tC i know what i want for my car. Now that i've saved my money for an intake... i dont know which one to get. I've heard the K&N dynoed like 8-10 hp gain and the Weapon R dynoed like 12 or something, but i'd like to know what people's experiances are with these, and which they recommend. Thanks!
