I was playing with my G-Tech toy yesterday. It is pretty good for 1/4, 1/8th, and 0-60 times, but it is way off for the horsepower and TQ numbers. I did everything it said to do. It says to shift out of 1st and in to 2nd around 3,000 rpm's. It said run it to redline in seconds gear. The first time, it said that I had 128 HP and the second time it said I had 188 HP. The TQ were just as drastic. I ran it a couple of more times, and the same thing.

I mean you have to put about 2k into the car just to hit 14s.
Because I didn't have $35,000 and with a LOT less I would have toyota quality and a sporty and VERY fun to drive.

This is the fastest car fro $16,400 base price that toyota is asking as far as I am aware. 7.4 sec 0-60 and 15.7 1/4 stock sounds good to me.(Car&Driver) Plus, it does not take 2k to get into 14s. Just a little over 1k will do w/ I/H/E and pulleys.

So why not get a used SRT-4 or RSX-S?

Used? Do you even own a Scion? Why buy the problems other owners could have created in your "new" used car? Why not start with a 0 mile car? And still pay less than 20K? I think you don't get it, I bought a tC cause I love it, I didn't bought an used one cause I wanted it to be NEW. Others might have different opinions, but I don't think you are in the right area reading, if you didn't want a tC to modify. Go read Aero and Exterior then.

Quick question...I have..:

Injen CAI, D/C Headers, Greddy Evo II Exhaust, and when i Run at the track i have Fuzion ZRI Tires at 22-23psi.

Best time so far was a 15.29 & 89.

If I were to get the Crank pulley, and the S-pipe...should I be able to hit the 14.9 mark??

First, Game; srt-4 and rsx-s are both over $20k base opposed to $16.4 tC.

Second, FireStorm; you need not only s-pipe and pulley set, but get a mid-pipe without a cat or a high-flow cat (preferably not) if you need to pass emissions. (evo2 is an axel-back) Then theoreticly your car is capable (its been done by some on this forum w/ practice).

I agree 100%.

I have about $980 worth of performance mods on my tC right now and I would be damn close to a 14.. Throw on a 50shot and it would be a pretty fast car. All for around $1,500 over the low sticker price.

That's pretty good for an automatic, do you have a time slip?

i ran a 15.3 @ 88mph completely stock on a humid day here in texas so i dont see what is so hard about hitting 14s N/A modded. this was also the first time i took the tC to the track. big thing is just knowing how to drive and how to launch correctly i think w/ more practice i could prolly get my time down being completely stock too w/ cooler weather conditions.

PureXtC those are some good times, do you have a slip? Car and Driver ran a 15.7 and another mag ran 15.6. Those car might not have been broken in though...

Your trap speed seems about right but the ET seems low for a bone stock tC. Do you have stock tires also?

What was your 1/8th ET and trap speed? Any time slips?

The best I've seen on a stock tC was 15.5, most of the magazines have it listed as 15.7.

I'm going down to the 1/8th mile tonight but I don't have my stiffy so I'm not expecting anything great.

Well, I got a super great change with just the stiffy. That thing works wonders. right now I'm at 9.9 in the 1/8, I 'll see if I can better results next week. I'm going every week to the track now, getting to practice.

My time really didn't change at all when I got mine.. I still hit 2.3x 60' most of the time. Every once and awhile I'll hit a 2.2 but it's not consistant.

It does feel much better when I down shift though.

Well for me it was a change like chocolate and sh&t . Before I used to hit 15.8-16.1, after it was consistent 15.4, so it really helped me a lot.
