I'm not going to sit here and teach you why they work but just because you were stupid enough to hydrolock a motor doesn't mean that CAI don't work.
Thanks for the personal attack, jackass.

Have you not considered that the 3 fastest N/A tC's on here run modded airboxes, and not CAI's ? How about the fact that they've got extremely few mods in addition to their hacked airboxes? Quite frankly, I don't need dynos to back it up... I've got timeslips, trap speeds, and 2 other guys doing the same thing.

I don't need your "instruction." If you run faster with your magical CAI, post YOUR slip. Otherwise, keep your personal attacks to yourself.

This would NOT be the first car that a CAI provides little to no performance benefit over a hacked-box setup.

I'd explain a dyno chart to you but it very well might be beyond your grasp. Do you think the extra horsepower was a ghost in the machine? It is very obvious that that adds horsepowr across the entire RPM range LIKE MOST well designed intakes. Do you understand the basics that cold air is a denser charge? More airflow allows more fuel and more power... its basics of modifying ANY car. There is no personal attack. You openly stated that YOUR dumbass hydrolocked a motor. I've driven all sorts of vehicles and I LIVE IN WASHINGTON and I've never come close to locking a motor. You're a tool if you did and maybe you should reconsider modifying any car. A CAI improves performance unless you're adding an EBAY special. Please teach yourself some basic car knowledge before you jump around saying that a CAI does nothing If you sounded like you knew a thing or two about cars you might come across a bit more serious but with posts talking about free mods making your car the fastest you come across like a total moron. He did those mods because they were free and he ran that fast because he removed the weight. If he had proper mods and did the same thing with proper modifications he would be solidly into the 14"s. I can't post a timeslip because I don't have the car yet and when I do post a timeslip it is going to be after I install my OWN turbo system. I don't screw around with intakes and exhaust. I'm into forced fab and I do my own work and build my own motors. You can _____ about CAI all you want but you're still the one coming across like a biased moron because you hydrolocked your car. And you can take that to the bank....

8 Attacks in one post. Very impressive.

I will run 14's, and I'll do it without a water sucker. As I'm sure you're well aware, there are plenty of other ways to draw power out of a motor without a cold air.

By the way... the dyno you posted... the guy put on a Weapon-R intake, which, is a short-ram... not a CAI. Don't worry about posting a CAI dyno, I've seen plenty.

If it'll get your panties out of a knot, then I'll retract my statement. It now should read... " A cold air intake is not necessary for 14s." Happy?

BTW, people who call others morons should research before they call others morons so as to not look like the moron in the first place.

Read through about losses felt

and as far as seeing a 14.9 or lower i wont be able to do it till the tracks open up in april and even then i still need to get back in to the swing of driving since my car is a decent amount diffrant now (when i ran 15.2 it was a intake crapy tires and no axle back) and i havent realy been able to drive aggressivly in the snow lol (i wouldnt even if i had the room to do it)

im going to have to take a break from this game till atleast power mods till the 25th of march since im setting up the car with a audio setup for HIN chicago and doing some powder coating a little things hear and there to make it stand out

but dont worry by the times the tracks open here in april ill have the tv's out and all the fiber glass will be out and back to stock basicly in the trunk and i can focus on performance again
