the srt-4 hasn't had any real problems, or at least the owners haven't really encountered any of the fabled "dodge reliability" problems. actually, it's the 2004 model that has the lsd and bigger injectors.

Ehh, the '05 V6 Mustang only has 210hp, 240lb -ft, but besides that, if you want reliability go Toyota, if you want problems later on go Dodge.

Yeah?

How homosexual do you feel when the SRT-4s tailights disappear miles ahead of you even though you have your foot to the floor?

That's the lamest thing I've ever seen in my life. That's what happens when Mummy and Daddy buy their kid a brand new car.

I'm glad that schmuck chewed up his tires, I hope he hits the same pothole and rolls into a ditch.

Ok, the engine will last. Your transmission and everything else on the car will go in 60-80 thousand miles.

Have you ever owned a Dodge before? I drove a 1996 Stratus ES, the largest engine available for the car in 1996.

I bought it with 30k on it and the car began falling apart shortly thereafter. I will never buy a dodge again.

i had a stratus also it did fall apart but not till around 75-80k and they were very poorly built the srt-4 is built stronger then most dodges there are peaple who daily drive them with about 300hp and they have no problems with a stock tranny so why would this guy have any on a stock srt-4?

If you honestly think a domestic built neon is going to last longer than a japanese built toyota you my friend are on crack

maybe you should think about resale value
look at the deprecation of a doge compared to a toyota
that should tell you everything you need to know about which car will last longer, and not just the engine, the whole car

resale value for a srt-4 with 50,000 miles and a celica gts with 50,000 miles

srt-4
$12,725

celica gts
$13,890

both are 2003's with no extra options added

the srt-4 that came out this year was the one that was below 20k and the gts was around 22k so i think the resale value is holding up as well as the gts right now we can only tell with time how this will change but the srt-4 is going to be a classic car and im sure will retain is value if properly kept

where are you getting your figures?
if your going to look at similar cars you should look at the Corolla, ford focus, honda civic, chevy cavalier, and the dodge neon.

which has higher resale value
the toyota, and the honda

if you don't believe me go to
http://www.kbb.com/ and see for your self
or call any car dealership they will all tell you imports have higher resale value
why you might ask
b/c they last longer.

Resale value is something you should be concerned with. The Neon (i know your looking at an SRT-4) is one of the worst cars when it comes to resale value(top 3 i belive) I don't know about the tC as it hasn't been out yet but i do know toyotas hold their value

The SRT-4 will be faster than a tC but it's still a neon, it's still a dodge and it's still gonna break down like a dodge. Atleast you know the tC is gonna start up every morning. I have a friend who had an SRT and he kept it about a year. The car had like 17k on it and the motor was already going bad. I say get the tC.
