Tc tune up troubles
hello everyone,
I have a 2005 Scion tC that started giving me low idle problems and a CEL during a 19hr drive from louisiana to maryland. I took it into a shop and they told me that i needed new plugs and a new MAF sensor. Today I replaced the spark plugs with Denso (previous owner had some bosch plugs in) changed out the MAF (original was caked with oil and dirt so i didnt even bother trying to clean it). I managed to break everyone of those damn clips that hold the connectors onto the coil packs. I gapped them to .44 as per auto parts store. After all of this I am still getting a rough idle. The car doesnt wanna die anymore but still kinda runs a little rough. Any suggestions? Also is there anyway to replace those retaining clips on the spark plug connectors without major repair or can i just live without them? Thanks for any response

Yes, thats is true, TC's dont idle the best from my experience. Especially with a simple i/h/e (ecu reset of course), the car idle's like CRAP. from both ts's i went through, the only time mine idled good was when it was turbo'd and had a 800 tune from ams. Just my .02
