I dont have a pic.. but the intake has one bracket that bolts to a stamped metal bracket that is part of the motor mount. This the same bracket that the third bolt of the stock aribox bolts to. The problem is that the stock air box has two more bolts right next to it and does not have enough leverage to do any harm. The CAI tweaks it back and forth under normal driving due to the engine movement and breaks the bracket off the motor mount. The only way to fix it is to try and weld it or use an epoxy, but that doesnt necessarrilly work to well. I will end up creating another brackt for the CAI before putting it back on my car.

I've had both and wouldn't recommend the K&N to anyone. I've posted my reason before and I'd rather not type out something that can be searched......

i have had my k&n for about 10months and have had no problems and it didnt break. Upgrading your engine mounts should assure it wont break since the engine will be moving less.

There are no motormounts for our car, if you have them, how is it driving a car that shakes like no other?

The Injen would be less likely to break as they use a rubber stopper at least to help dampen vibration/movement. The K&N just bolts on to that crappy bracket metal to metal.

^^ Exactly. I think he may have meant a damper, but that will also add vibration throughout the car. I want to make a bracket with a rubber bushing like the Injen, only having it bolt somewhere else on the car. I was thinking of bolting a small plate to the other two stock bolt locations that extends towards the bracket the CAI bolts to now, Then a bracket that bolts the CAI to that with a rubber bushing. That will give it something solid to mount to rather than a stamped metal bracket.

zpi has motor mounts that i ordered and should be shipped out as soon as they get them in stock. I have my whole car sound matted - im not expecting tons of shaking since the matting job reduced TONS of noise
