Default transmission warranty question

i have the doc i short shifter and have had it on for almost a year now, and just recently i've been getting a grinding from the syncro on 3rd gear... do you think the dealership will hassle me about the short shifter, if i go to take it in for the syncro issue...? also just recently i drained the trans fluid and replaced it with mobil 1.. about 2k ago.. then i started having this issue

they might, so it would be best to just put a stock one on before you take it in, but a short throw shifter really wouldn't effect that.

they also offered a supercharger for the tc, should they hassle you if you have a turbo and want to claim a warranty on the engine? or you s-techs on it because they offer trd lowering springs?

their sport parts are warrantied, but that doesn't mean other ones are. but just to avoid a potential point of arguing, put the stock shifter back. if you have a good dealership, it shouldn't matter, but there are lots of crappy ones out there.

do you think they'll just take it as "normal driver abuse" or will they actually attempt to resolve the issue by fixing it under warranty... im all up for switching out the SS, but if their gonna go and say its driver abuse.. and not warranty it, then what do i do.. do you think either the short shifter or changing the fluid could of done this... i'll admit it i have grinded 3rd a couple times but it only really happens on somewhat hard, to hard quick shifts... but i know the clutch is depressed enough, so its not like i'm just shoving it in there to find third gear... anyone else have any imput would be great...

it is hard to prove driver's abuse, but besides, abusive driving would damage the lower gears like 1st and 2nd before anything happened to 3rd, it could be a warranty defect.

they might suspect some driver abuse though it while on the way to the transmission, they notice your clutch is all burnt up though. but it could also be bad master or slave cylinder too.

i suggest that you switch it out for stock. they would've switched mine out but they saw my SS and immediately dropped my claim. I also have that 3rd gear grind >:/
