Can anybody tell me what tools I'm going to need? My muffler just came in today and i'm gonna install it first thing in the morning.

 

All you need is a ratchet and socket. I believe it is a 12mm. It may help to have an exhaust hanger removal tool but it is not needed. I just used a flat head screwdriver and pried the exhaust from the hangers. Also you can use soapy water to help with the removal of the exhaust from the rubber hangers. The exhaust is held on by three rubber hangers and bolted to a flange with 2 bolts.

 

WD40 or PB'Laster works too...

 

Might be 14mm - and yeah, WD40 worked for me ;)

 

14mm and WD-40 is what it took to get mine on.

 

I used my hands to remove the hanger. Also, you'll need a jack and a pair of jack stands or some wheel ramps to get underneath.

 

Thanks guys. I did the install before I even looked at this thread again. It was a 14mm socket for 2 of the bolts and I just used flathead screwdriver to help me get the piece off of the hangers. Thanks for the help!
