Default TRD Muffler Install (TC)

Ok, I dont know how to post pics so for now they are hosted at webshots. I labled the pictures so you should have a good idea what to do. Remember installation is reversal of removal.

Tools:
WD-40 or other penetrating spray
Silicon or other lube for hangers if you don't want to use WD-40.
14mm socket 3/8 or 1/4 drive and respective ratched and breaker bar.
Torque wrench (not needed but I like to make sure my nuts stay put )

Time:
If you are like me and dont want to scratch that shiny new muffler and enjoy working on your car it shouldn't take more than 60min. I took 40min and I started rushing at the end to get to a meet on time.

Hangups:
Let the WD-40 or penetrating spray do its job. I let mine sit 10-15min. Because trying to remove the bolts right after you spray them defeats the purpose.
The rubber hangers are a bit of a pain and I found it easier to pull on them if you aren't flat on the floor.

Anything else:
I didn't buy a new donut gasket for where the muffler pipe meets the mid-pipe. I haven't noticed any major leaks but I am going to double check once I find time to do so.
Also, the torque specs for the spring bolts are 32 ft/lbs. I tried my best to torque mine down but with the size of my torque wrench I would have had to lift the car more to get an accurate tightening.

Hopefully this helps all of you who plan to install a TRD muffler on your Scion tC.
Feel free to PM me questions about the install.

Cool little tutorial, seems easy enough. I'll be doing this once I get my tC.

Took me 10 mintutes to install..then again, my tc only had 2k miles on it, so I didnt need to WD40/use a breaker bar.

Does a new gasket come with the trd exhaust? Wondering because I'm buying the exhaust used from somebody.

No I just reused my old one with some RTV on it to help make a complete seal.
