There has been alot of talk about the TRD intake which people say its not worth to buy espically cuz of price. and ONLY major accessories you'd like to consider are the scion security, spoiler and ground effect kit...those items are pretty diffucult to install yourelf unless you have the experience...I personally dont have an intake as of yet...i have been waiting for TRD to come out with a legal one for the street.

But alot of peole recommend an INJEN intake instead its more horsepower and less expensive.

Off the topic: what would be a best intake to have in a tC? ANYONE!

^^ thats not true either! The adapter doesn't exist, it's just a link for a part number that will exist but isn't in circulation yet and isn't even released, and they haven't even given numbers for the hp increases of the SC on an auto, show me a tC with this part and an SC that is an auto, because i've looked around a LOT for this part and i know about those sites and stuff, the item doesn't really exist.

LOL adding all those parts and accesories at time of purchase? heres a secret.. .buy them after you get the car... a few days or weeks later... why u ask? because you will get the parts and accesories cheaper. 1. if u buy them after u get the car they wont be financed into your payments which can mean they charge u interest! 2. you can find better deals for the parts on certain online sites.. or here on scion life

yes its true that if i buy them at the conrtact signing they will be financed along with the car. I'm going to reconfigure my accessories. I can post an update later on for some critiques.

randode.com and oznium.com have cold cathode lighting kits available for your car's interior that are more than half the price of the LED illumination kit from Scion and are a lot brighter too. They don't come with the cup holder lights though and they also require a little work on your part, but that's part of the fun. And the cup holder light installation can probably be found somewhere on this site. Also http://www.carxccessory.com/carxcces...edal-sets.html has some cheapo pedals that you may like. Save a few dollars toward that supercharger or something else. There's a lot of things that you can do to your car for pretty cheap too (map/dome/license plate lights to leds, gauge and console light switch, smoked tailights). Take a look around at the forums, there's a lot of good information here.

About the SuperCharger, I first made my decision on getting a Manual, but then after driving the Auto, I liked it more for some reason. I still like the Manual, but I tend to fall on the Automatic side now. I need to go and get another test drive.
Dude, do some research and go bare; no mods... save that money for a SC or Turbo... maybe then you'll appreciate manual and come back on this (manual) side... auto is for luxury sedans or for those who are incapable of learning the stick...

bro the adapter has been out...just ask the right people. anyways, the only difference between the auto and manual is that the dipstick on the auto gets in the way of the S/C so the kit moves it. yoou can do it yourself but why go through the hassle. also you CAN get both CAI and S/C. all you have to do is have the CAI connect after the MAF opposed to connecting it at the TB.

Thats what I'd do IF i were you and wanted at least SOME stuff. But for my money, I'd keep it stock except for the sec. sys (i like keyless entry) and take that extra cash and just get the Supercharger.

No matter what, you can not finance the CAI or the supercharger with the car, at least not in our area - due to emission laws.

dump the options. you can get an alarm and intake and most of the appearance things cheaper in other places. if you dont know the difference between the intake and sc dont get either. if the car seems slow later you can fix it when you know more about them. you never know you might find that its got enough power as it is and save the money. i wanted the sc but it wasnt out yet. its still a faster car than my old one so its plenty. with gas prices what they are now i dont think the power is worth the better gas and lower mileage.

Alright, thanks guys. I've been talking with some people on this board, and they tell me that I am going overboard with these dealer-installed accessories. It was a good idea to come and post here before actually buying my car.

Right now I am planning to get a Manual, Nautical Blue tC.

Accessories:

Exterior: Ground Effects Kit (G1) $995

Exterior: Pedestal Spoiler (RF) $423

Interior: SRS Side & Side Curtain Airbags (BE) $650

Interior: Scion Security (V5) $469 (maybe)

Interior: LED Illumination: Blue (44) $250

Interior: Sport Pedal Covers by OBX Racing Sports: Silver (32) $79

Sound: Pioneer AM/FM/CD + iPod Capability (P3) $260

Total comes to: $19,966

If you plan on lowering it, you might as well add the TRD springs to your list. They're priced fairly (imo, @ $399, installed) and were the only dealer option I had done to my base tC.

One other important difference is the sc doesn't void warranty on the manual, where it's not even supported on the auto. No matter, moot point now that TongMan changed his mind and intends to go manual.
