Tsudo 4-2-1 Header
#241
so iit would fit on a Tsudo midpipe, it would be a cat right after the s-pipe, then a magnaflow resonator, then the tsudo resonator then the rest of the pipe...
muffler shop around here wants 200 just to held a cat on a midpipe...if I had to construct a midpipe from stratch to weld a cat and a resonator, the price might be to much to just have it sound right...i'm fearing that I might have to sell the DC header

I have a Lincoln mig welder. I added the magnaflow hi flow cat p/n 53005 behind the oem cat and cut out the oem resonator and welded the magnaflow resonator p/n 10435.

Thanks for the great info! will surely look for those parts:
right now i'm looking at this site: http://www.hottexhaust.com
last questions: if my pipes are 2.5 or X diameter, should the resonator/cat inlet be smaller (for the muffler pipe to fit over it? or bigger so the cat/resonator ends fit over the muffler pipes?
Thanks for all the info and sorry for all the questions.

Good looking, may pick one up, glad to see from their pics that the primary o2 is not hitting the fan. Seems as if the WR one does n first models of the tsudo ones did as well

Reviving post from the dead!
Current setup:
- Tsudo 4-2-1
- Ingen SRI
- Stock Mid-pipe w/original OEM seconday CAT and OEM resonator
- Tanabe Medallion Touring Axel-Back exhaust
This setup still has slight rasp to it due to the nature of removing the primary CAT but the exhaust tones it down a lot along with exhaust volume. There is no exhaust drone of any kind at highway speeds.
My next project is to finally have a custom 2.25" mid-pipe with a universal CAT that will help pass emissions and have Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator welded into it.

Yes I know I keep reviving old threads but I just changed part of my midpipe to get rid of the existing rasp I had. I had a shop cut out my secondary cat and OEM resonator which was replaced by a Magnaflow cat (rated for our vehicles) and Vibrant Ultra quiet resonator. I kept the OEM mid-pipe instead of custom building a 2.25" mid-pipe because the OEM one is already mandrel bent and I wanted to retain the smaller piping diameter to keep some back pressure since I'm not turbo'd or supercharged. It cut the rasp out down by a lot and I got my low end torque back which is nice. Sounds great with the Tanabe Medallion Touring exhaust (OEM style).
The rasp is literally gone. I'll make a video later on so if people are still interesting in modding this car, it's my recommendation to get these parts to cut down on rasp while still keeping the low end. No point in trying to get a free flowing big exhaust when your output power is not above 250+ WHP when not turbo'd or supercharged. You're just hurting your performance with anything above 2.5" on a NA setup not outputting good power.
