Why is the tsudo N1 exhaust so expensive for our cars? I mean its still a good deal for a catback on the TC. But on ebay, every tsudo exhaust for any other car is under $200 (not including shipping).

new product

everything that is new always starts out more expensive.....then the price drops as demand does or if there is more in stock.

The MMW header used to be 850, now you can find it for about 550 6 months later....

OK!

A loooooooooooong day today, but well worth it with the ending results.

Installation Phase
I started installing around 12pm today.. i have a sprained, but functional, right hand from basketball earlier this morning so it took longer for me.. just taking off the stock piping took me 1 and a half to 2 hours.. The midpipe/s-pipe connection was a PAIN to remove. I only had hand socket wrenches in this whole installation process with jacks/jackstands on the passenger side.

Bolting on the Tsudo catback was easy.. nice fitment but the muffler tip was dead on mounted on the rear bumper muffler exit.. BUT, all you have to do is press down on the muffler to expand the hangers a little and it will sit that way. Only thing inevitable are the scratches it left on the exit

I used 2 of the 4 flanges that it came with.. cuz 1 flange doesn't mount properly for the axleback to midpipe connection. and the other flange was an extra i think..

Silencer Phase
Ok, now the annoying part. the silencer. Besides it's ugliness, and tight fit.. it sounded pretty nice with the silencer. But honestly, I was embarrased driving around with it on. I like to keep my car clean, and that silencer just made my car look like pure rice for a couple hours. I'm asian, so I know my rice . Anyway, with the lack of tools I had, it was basically impossible for me to take it off. So I went to like.. 5 shops and NO HELP! all of them asked to see it and said they couldn't do it.. It was obvious they were just lazy. So I continue to look around with my buddy next to me, and he points out this old.. messed up shop around the corner. There was this hispanic dude working on a beat up truck.. I was kind of hesitant at first but it was already close to closing time for shops so I couldn't resist. So I go up to him and asks, once again, to look at the muffler. He tries to tug at it and was like.. yeah, that's a very tight fit. But he looks at me and says.. I'm going to remove it. So, I was happy. He removed that stubborn thing and it took him about 10 minutes. I remember what he did so I can help you guys with it.. He hammered the middle piping just enough to mount a vice grip on it.. then he added another vice grip horizontally at the end, so basically it looks like an L shape. then he hammered the 2nd vice grip outwards and out it came.. DONT FORGET TO USE WD40!!!!

Testing Phase
WOW! that was my first expression at the sound this exhaust delivers. Like what aznrac3rpoi said.. it is LOUD. and NO RASP (I have stock headers; injen cai.). My friend even said it sounded clean, and he's very picky with exhaust notes. It's even clean at WOT. I feel a slight gain. It's not like I was expecting a 15hp gain.. but it's there. You can feel the car pull more.

Conclusion
I love it! that's all there is to it. I knew Tsudo wouldn't let me down. Only complaint is the bumper issue and the silencer.. but both can be fixed and it's PERFECT. The exhaust is loud.. so I wouldn't recommend this to those that want their car quiet. But, the silencer quiets it up. Without it.. it's 3x louder. I better watch out for the popo's.

I'll provide you guys with the sound clips in another thread tomorrow cuz I'm beat. I have a headache from inhaling too much exhaust fumes, haha.

Here's a pic for you zer0. it comes out straighter than the Megan and HKS. My friend has an HKS on his tC and we compared the way it sat in the rear bumper and also how it sounds. The Tsudo won.

I'll let you guys know in thread when I post the sound clips in another thread.

PEEEEEEACE.

and in advance, the piping doesn't sit TOO low. I guess the pic I showed above gives a bad example with the shade and stuff. haha.

Yea the exhaust is gonna smell for a few days, the WD40 is burning off and also the fresh metal is heating up, to fix the bummper problem just go to a pep-boys and buy a 4" rubber hanger and it will drop the exhuast down, thats what i have cuase if i had the stock one it will melt my bummper. i you want to tone down the exhaust just throw a 18" resanator in it and i should still sound mean
