Hey Scootermafia it seems as though my pipe under the axle hangs a lot lower than yours. Do you notice that yours hangs low?

I purchased it in Feb of 2007. Thank you for all of your help!!!
Sorry to hear about your trouble, the reason I asked is because we sell Tsudo only. We know there are other sellers that advertise Tsudo for bottom dollar (especially on ebay) but they sell non stainless copies. I have seen pictures on another thread here of a guy who ordered the "Tsudo" catback off ebay for $5-10 less than our price and it's obviously not Tsudo boxed and is not the same ones we have. The design is the same, but they are non-stainless copies. Most people will never realize it for at least a couple months.
About your piping, we just installed one of the tC catbacks for a friend less than 2 weeks ago from our latest batch, the piping definitely sits closer to the underside brace. At first glance it looks like it is TOO close, but has no rattling or contact. Will have pics up of it soon.

Well the seller asked for pics so I sent them. I know that Ebay has a lot of junk and you have to be real careful when you order. I actually payed $240 so for that price, it should be stainless!!!

OOh yeah some things up with that, I got mine from speed-element
and even thought i was missing a few bolts, it doesn't look like that
i too a closer look at mine and the finish on both the pipe and canister is deff polished stainless the only part thats yellowed is the welds, which i knew from the get go that they had been done at too high a temperature.

you may not like the following...

Did you bend the hangers or alter the rubber(stick things in them) hangers?
this may be the reason the axleback pipe is hanging so low...

Did you use any kind of cleaner or polishing chemical on the exhaust?
this may be the rust and spotting, stainless will not rust BUT contaminants stuck to it will oxidise and make it seem like the stainless is rusting.

Theres always the chance that yo got a Tsudo knock off that may not be stainless...

No I never bent any hangers or changed the rubber mounts. I never used any chemicals other than car wash and windex to shine. I am ____ed to be honest because this should never have happened especially at this price. I know about the knock offs you find on Ebay but, if you know what you are looking for, do the research, and buy from a repitable seller, you can actually get some awesome stuff. I did all that and now I am dealing with this. I wish I would have ordered from speed-element. I will keep you all posted regarding what the seller plans to due for me! Thanks for all the help I really appreciate it!!!

check it...

At first i was using a longer rubber hanger and had stuck pieces of wood in the other for the muffler section and look how weird the angle of the pipe that runs to the canister looks...

sorry i don't have a pic from the front...

so i took the longer hanger off and cut one of the wood pieces in half now it sits like this...

also you can see that the finish is indeed polished stainless, these pics are when i first installed it but to this day it looks just like that, and i never, never wash or touch my exhaust...to clean it that is...

Hmm...if you ran the exhaust with the silencer on it you will probably have a hard time getting it out.
the key is to take it out before you install the exhaust.

if the silencer has a small lip protruding from the small center pipe, try using some flat nosed pliers gripping this and pulling straight out or slightly wobbling it side to side.

you could also spray some WD40 around the silencer then using the pliers, it will smoke for a while after thought...

thanks mugetsu, the discoloration is not that bad its only on the welds as i see it and it looks a lot better than tc1stgen's (looks like he got another ebay junk). Its having a poor quality of metal that im afraid of but now i saw your exhaust pics i guess its the same stainless steel that other brands use.

Also you can see how low the piping hangs below the axle in the first picture. I mean I have gotten pulled over for this! Now just so you know this is as clean as it gets. I have tried everything and nothing will remove these spots. It just does not shine like it should and the first pic shows a lot of the inperfections that are all over the exhaust. I really wish they could come out!

the "imperfections" look like oxidation and rust
do you live in a higly humid area?

looks yucky!

No I live in Rhode Island. That too humid over here, infact not too hot period. The exhaust has only been on for six months. The seller said they were going to take care of it it just better stay that way!!! Now you guys see what I mean and why I am not happy.

I have heard of people getting rasp from just the catback, even with the stock manifold.

I also noticed that when i switched from the WR SRI back to the stock air box there was a slight "decrease" in rasp, which worked out great since with my set up(including an Alpha header) i only had a tiny bit of rasp so now my set up is "virtually" rasp free!

If you are keeping the stock manifold i wouldn't worry to much about rasp...regarding the SRI...

as for the cat back...from what i hear that was the whole point of tsudo supposedly using an "improved" 18ich resonator, because people were complaining of rasp with the stock manifold.
BUT i can't say for sure...
