Default weapon r intake problem

So I finally got around to putting my weapon r intake on my 07 scion tc with my bud. Took us forever to get the evap purge valve out. Never was able to get the oem screw out that goes to the evap purge either so if you have a good way id like to know. Besides that, we seemed to have noticed that the intake was sitting alittle too high when installing, even if we tried pushing it down more in place. Got everything hooked up and all. When it came to the maf, the holes didnt line up though, so is that how anyone elses weapon r intake was? also when i tried to put the engine cover in, the fact that the intake was sitting too high wouldnt let me get the cover on. I don't know if it was a mess up in the manufacturing of the intake tube or not because it didnt look like how it did in the instructions on the paper or on scionlife. Is there something i can do?

Sounds like you got the '05-'06 version. '07-'08 has different MAF. Call your seller and have it exchanged for the correct version.

i dont think its the 05 06 version. i meant that the holes that you screw the maf down into are kinda spread farther then it should be. its not as flush even as oem intake.

edit: should look like this intalled

if the screws dont match up, that probably means that you got the wrong year, as midlife said. and flush? its usually not flush on most aftermarket intakes.

yea mine looks like that in the pic only one thing, the intake pipe is bent a little higher for some reason, even if i try to push it down some. Then when i try to put the engine cover on, it touches the vacuum tube so i cant bolt it down. Im probably gonna call weapon r whenever i get my pics on my comp from a friends phone. Thanks guys.

Mine on the 08 fit like that too........I had to put one screw in and then leave it loose and get the other screw in at a slight angle....I snugged it down and it has been fine.........

Most of the guys around here said they are all that way........most of them cut or drilled the holes on the sensor to fit the mount.
