ok....i had a weird a$$ problem today....i was driving normaly and i stalled...i thought it was becuase of my driving(i let go of the clutch and stalled) but no. When i tired to restart the engine...it was just cranking and not starting.....so i turn it off again this time i put it on ACC and my rpm was jumpin for 0 to 1000 rpm and the check engine light was flashing rapidly but dim(without the car started)...so i waited until it stop doing that and the car started.
So i took it to Toyota and they said nothing was wrong...they said ECU was not throwing any codes...
After a long day...i tired to start my car at night and it started...so i turn my parking light on and nothing happened....i tired my headlights on and my car turned off....weird aye???
any ideas??

 

btw.....EVERYTHING in the engine is stock

 

i was thinking the alternator is screwed?

once that goes everything tries to run off of the battery and it doesnt work out to well.. maybe have that cheked??

 

Yeah I also think is the alternator is also.. Those are some of the symtoms I see from other cars when it is the alternator.

If it don't start on, u hit that sucker wit a wooden stick to make it start! Lol that's what me and my friend did to his car when it wouldn't start and it worked like a charm.(not responsible for any damage or injury)

 

That would be the starter that you are talking about.

I had a some what similar problem where my car was running really bad and the cel was flashing(thats what was similar). it ended up being a misfire caused by a spark plug gone bad. not sure how many miles you have but that happened to me with about 85k on the plugs (130k on the car). dont know if this helps.
