ok well kinda wierd hope i explain this right.

well i was driving home from work. everything was fine the whole way. all of sudden i turn into my compartment complex and i start to hear what sounds like a bad whining noise. kinda like a scraping noise. sounded like it was coming from the rear wheel well. started to scare the crap out of me. and would quiet down when the car was slowing down but get louder when i rolled. well i almost home. like 30 sec from my parking space. parked turned my headlights off. went back out 20 mins later to take it for a drive to see if it would happen agian. no noise at all. everything sounds fine now. no noise at all. so my question to you is what could it be? i have hids installed. wondering can hids make a whining noise at all? maybe if water got in them or anyting? wondering could it have been maybe my brake pads? maybe a belt squeaking caue it got wet or somthing maybe? any input is appreciate it. and i tried searching didnt really come up with much.

 

you check under your fender?

maybe something got caught, ie giant leaf or a cat

 

yea i checked everything. but the noise is gone. so i dont know what it was. i was thinking probolly a rock or dirt or somthing caught between the rotor and dust cover, or brake pad and rotor on the brakes. maybe cause it went away so. see if it comes back tom.

 

my car does this when i dont drive it a week or so. it also does it if it rains and the car has been sitting. if not it does this with abs when going into an angled turn and braking.
