i just got my injen SRI installed and i was wondering when i should change the filter. and does anyone know where i can get cheap ones? (as in price) 2.75 is the size

Personally, i don't like the filters that they come with, some may, but I don't like using oil filters. Thats just me. So I'd change it right away. Otherwise, you want to clean it every 30K or so. Some people will wait until 50K, its based on your preference and air quality in your area. The filter itself can last the life of the car though probably. Again though, its not the best filter IMO b/c the oil can get on the MAF, etc.

I have got a aem dryflow filter 2.75" that I used for about 1 and a half weeks. It cost me $45, but i'll sell it to ya for cheap if you're interested.

 

umm these intake filters are reuseable. so just wash it and respray. no need to buy a whole new one.

 

I clean mine every oil change.

you need to reoil. I'm not 100% sure, but you can probably use the K&N filter recharger kit. It comes w/ a cleaning solution and oil.
