whirring noise 35mph+
I've noticed that on my 05 tC I've been hearing a whirring noise when I go more than 35mph. I can hear it before that speed, but it is barely noticeable.
On the highway it is pretty scary sounding. I'm able to shift just fine. Also, if i put it in neutral, the sound is still present. clearly it is coming from under the hood and associated with the speed that the wheels are spinning
i'm guessing I either need to rotate my tires or I have a problem with my differentials?
I changed to mt90 about 4 years ago and I do regular maintenance on my car :? ideas?

if you have access to a lift, have someone put the car in gear and get the wheels moving at 35-45mph and listen to each wheel if you hear a "whirring" noise it's the wheel bearing.
You can also tell by loading each side, i.e. if you turn right the weight of the car loads the left front wheel bearing, if you turn left the weight of the car loads the right front wheel bearing.
If you notice the noise goes away turning left your left front wheel bearing is bad. if you notice the noise goes away turning right, your right wheel bearing is bad.
