no never the clutch has nothing to do with the whine....just get a twin disc and your drag tranny is setup

.... yeah, sorry... I don't think it's a good idea at all.

Now if you were trailoring the Scion to and from events, and JUST racing it.... then go for it.
I second that, straight cutting your 1st-3rd gears on a daily driver is a horrible idea, even more so for 6 thousand dollars. You car will be extremely jerky, loud, and will inevitably cause premature wear on your drive terrain. Its allot of money spent and your sacrificing allot of comfort just for fractions of a second. As Senseiturtle said, unless you are trailoring you car to and from the road course, there is no need for this.

W/e though, your money spent, even if I were to EVER do it on a street car, I wouldn't do it on a introductory level sports coupe.

No pics of progress? Internal pics, installation pics...custom work needs pictures to back it up.

I had to deal with lots of BS kids claiming they had twin turbos and cam gears and such when I started college. I made them pop their hood and called them out. Then I showed them my jeep with engine swap and fabricated suspension. I managed to convert a couple by telling them I like their car for what it is, but if they do want to mod I will help them with everything. Now one is running around with a REAL 14psi on his Focus and the other has a K04 in his Jetta.

To the OP: If you aren't BSing us and really are doing this then that's awesome and get a video or whatever up so we can live vicariously through you. I have seen many people do crazy mods that nobody believed till there were videos and then the guy was worshiped. If your lying, we are all car people here no matter how many mods we got done. No need to impress us, lying on the internet just makes you a D-bag.

generally, dont say your getting/doing something on the internet before you have even a little proof.
