Default Wierd CEL problem

I've searched everywhere, but I can't find anything.

Ok, I used to be turbo'd on a ZPI stage 0. when i had it uninstalled, i didnt have the rubber O ring that goes around the MAF to seal it off. this is with OEM intake. i have oem headers > megan spipe > tsudo mid > hks carbon ti. could the cel be for the spipe or the O ring? sometimes the light is on, sometimes it isnt. i had it serviced two days after the turbo was uninstalled and that was after about 150 miles? and the cel wasnt on.

any help is appreciated

We need to know what code is set to help you figure out what it is for. A CEL can be a very large number of things.

??? As much as I hate autozone, every autozone will read them for you. You can buy a code reader for $40 or less as well. Good to have if you are doing mods to your car.

You can get a diagnostic tool which will tell you more than just the code for under $200.

Sears has one for about $40 or less. Most good (notice I said good, not autozone) auto parts stores have them just as cheap. What they were trying to sell you was a full diagnostic tool, not a code reader. There is not a code reader I know of even close to that price. A code reader simply tells you the code that is set without displaying actual sensor data.
