Would it be beneficial to get my car tuned with these mods?
I have a couple of mods done to my car (not much really). But I'm curious to see if it would be worth getting it tuned to get the best bang for my buck. Here is the small list of mods done to the car:
-Injen short ram intake
-Agency power lightweight crank pulley
-Pulsar spark plugs ( that appernetly added more hp via a more powerful spark)
No while some of you may not say that a tune is not needed seeing as how only 3 major engine mods were done, I think that the ones that are done could be fine tuned a little bit to squeeze every ounce of power out. Since the intake allows more airflow to the engine and the spark plugs create a slightly stronger spark, I think that adjusting the A/F ratio might help out a bit. Plus with the fact that some weight has been taken off the pulley system, think the timing of when the VVT-i kicks in could be adjusted as well.
So what do you think? Would it be worth it? And if so, where in NJ (or the surrounding area) does anyone recommend. I'm looking for answers from people who know a substantial amout about tuning. Thanks for the help!

get a full exhaust, all the pulleys, then if you tune it you might get an extra 10-20 hp outta it
what were you planning on tuning with anyways?
your gonna need to spend $1K+ for a standalone and then at least several hundred for tuning and all you gonna get is a couple HP.
and VVT-i does not "kick in"
the first V stands for Variable so its constantly changing.

And as far as what I was going to use, I wasn't really sure. I know the camcon is good. i was looking at getting the scan guage 2 simply because its inexpensive, preatty nice looking, and seems to have a lot of features that I could use without getting in over my head.
The scangauge doesnt tune anything. It just shows you temps and stuff. I have one. I know. google camcom and go to the power enterprise site. they make the camcon it will give you some info.
