WTF? Do I have bad luck?
As of Sunday..I drove down to TF Works for their BBQ..which is a 3 hour drive..drove back home..no issues..
Washed my car after getting home since it got demolished by bugs.
Park it in the garage right after washing it.
My dad wakes me up this morning after he found a huge puddle of tranny fluid under my car..and this was the cause.
Looks as if the seals on the drive axle popped out?
Also found a few bearing just chilling in my drive way..this was the most interesting one..
Wtf is my luck?
Honestly?
What would cause this?

And im betting that the bearing came out of the support that goes across the back of the engine and bolts on the back side of the block that holds the drive shaft in place. Willing to bet that the bearing there sh*t the bed.

you would be correct, sir! the passenger side axle has a driveshaft bearing housing that if that died, then yup there goes the axle. That might be a torn ball bearing in the 2nd picture

Well I haven't heard back yet from the dealer yet..besides from one of my buddies that works there.
And it just sounds like from being low..it caused my axle to basically give out.
Randomly as my car was parked.
Anyone know how much a completely front axle assembly would run me?

well the red fluid tells me it looks like it's an automatic. the part number on the automatic right hand (passenger) axle is 43410-44040 price is $440 from trdsparks.com looks like the dealer price is $525 (list). ouch. The drivers side (left) is 43420-44040 price at trd sparks is $377 list at the dealer is $472. Oh so it's lowered, then if you lowered it without using TRD parts then forget the warranty. Could've argued warranty if you were using Toyota lowering parts. If you're low on money what about checking out NAPA for an axle? napaonline.com I just checked them
NMD 944030 Left front axle - NEW $93 Remanufactured $60, core charge of $61
NMD 954240 Right front axle - Remanufactured $75 core charge $67
worth a thought if you're low on cash.. hope that helps

hhaha oh that far on mileage, eh? yeah powertrain warranty usually covers it, but you're being silly so i'll just laugh along
oh manual, well prices are about the same. gives ya an idea. and you're welcome

really?? the dealer is giving you the option to put in an aftermarket axle? wow. well the stuff from napa is what i think is the closest you'll find to OEM. I think Cardone might be doing a lot of Napa's remanufactured stuff, not bad quality in my opinion.
