Default ZPIracing Crank Pulley V.2.0

ZPIracing Crank Pulley V.2.0

The ZPIracing crank pulley has been a very popular modification for the Scion community. There is always a little controversy around a crank pulley with claims from both side of the fence about the possibility of premature bearing wear. We have been unhappy with the current manufacturing of our pulley with the quality control being loose and the ribs being over up to .030 we thought it was time for a change. We took our pulley and sketch to aerospace engineering and manufacturing firm that we do work with. They took are drawings and prototype designs and perfected. What the end results is a pulley that is stronger 20% lighter and built to Aerospace quality standards. These pulleys are 100% defective free and you can rest assured that the amount of engineering that went in to these little pulleys will not damage a belt, bearing, crank etc….

The new pulleys are 100% symmetrical balanced and will not create any noise on the vehicle which is typical of the lightweight pulleys.

These pulleys come standard in a unfinished aluminum or can be hard anodized for extreme strength for an extra $20.00

These are in stock and can ship immediately.

So...can you tell us the actual weight of the pulley? Any dyno info? Price?

So you are admitting that the other pulleys could pose a problem? I have the agency power pulley. Is this the exact same pulley as your 1.0? If Agency power is soon to follow do you think we can turn our old pulleys in and get the newer version for a reduced cost? I feel that we supported the given product and deserve some benefit to those that sat around and put down the initial product you offered.

Yes A/P did build our first one. We designed and built these on our own. If you bought a pulley from us we may be able to offer you a discount if you wanted this one instead. The A/P pulley should not cause you any problems I still have one on my car the quality control just was not there.

If it was a good one from the start then you should be fine the design is good.

Makes me happy I went with an NST pulley. Can't go wrong buying from a company like NST that does nothing but build pulleys as a full time job.

Just as a heads up to anyone looking for a pulley, do yourself a favor and dont buy one that is bare aluminum, there is a reason major companies put anodizing on the pulley. Bare unfinished aluminum is not very good for long term use.

The 2AZ-FE is internally balanced. These pulleys will not creat issues with harmonic balancing.

What is lacking is a vibrational dampener. I don't know for myself but some say that the OEM pulley is a solid block of steel that comes like that without a dampener. Others say that much mass acts as the dampener.

Many Supra owners have had engine failures due to uncontrolled vibrations from the crank. The tC has thus far no known issues dealing with a lightened crank pulley.

the stock pulley does have a built in rubber damper. but i havent had any probs with my pulley except the ribs being off and causing belt squeaking. But Kenny has tken care of this problem for me.
