+1, its never too early to start saving for a down payment on a house... sometimes i wish i had done the same instead of getting a turbo, but then i go for a drive to remind me why i made my decision...

to each his own
x2 on saving for a house. Expecially that if you buy during 2009 you get a 8-9k $ for $ tax credit (of which you don't have to pay back like the FY2008 tax credit).

wanting to blow 5k on nothing shows your age. if i knew what i did now i would of been saving more money. honestly, take 500 and spend it on something then invest or save the rest. you will be better off in the future doing something like that.

If you would like to spend the money on your car, and you have the money, I would go turbo. You will need all that money however to do so.

Buying a kit is an option, but that is still not the complete option. You must remember, even after purchasing a Dezod, Ptuning, or TurboToyotas Kit, you will still need to purchase an applicable exhaust system, a clutch, gauges (boost, afr, oil), a turbo timer, additional tuning, and extra for spare parts. An exhaust, clutch, and gauges may run you 1500 alone...GL!

he obviously wants to spend it on his car so stop telling him to invest and buy houses. he posted this in the F/I section for a reason.

go to lunch with paul. turbo and tune. im sure he will take care of you.
