____. That must have hit hard if it turned your frame into delicious snack food.
Dear PTuning,
What do you use to handle your camber and toe on the front and rear?
Signed,
My tires are unevenly blistered and that's not good

I'll tell them to snap some pictures and post them. But right now the car sits on 1 donut spare in the front, and one stock wheel. The motor/tranny/etc is out, there is no windshield, passenger side fender, and the frame is straight again. However, the frame rail in front of the passenger side strut tower is messed up and will need to be replaced. The build motor is still in the processing of being built, and we are still waiting on parts from just about every vendor. More new parts are going into the car, like a new clutch and flywheel from clutchmasters. This time its unsprung and will be able to handle all the power of the built motor!
There is still a LOT of work to do. But on the plus side, Blown_xa's recently replaced his motor, and should have the car running sometime soon! He is an expert on replacing those motors!

Quick question, what size wheels/tires were you running at SP? I don't know why but I remember MrC saying something about 285's, and one pic I have shows 255.

I got your pm on this, but i will just reply to your post here. We did run 285s during the morning practice lap at Summit Points. However, when we had the passenger hub failure late on saturday, that's when we swapped the 285 setup with the 255 setup. The custom hub that broke (due to machining error) was designed to accomodate the 5x114.3 bolt pattern, which is necessary to run the Advan 18x10 RZ wheels. The new RZ wheel we were running looks very similiar to the RS wheels except it's a twin 5-spoke wheel instead of a evenly spaced 10-spoke wheel.
The amazing thing about our front wheel setup is that unless you really paid close attention, most specators or even scion tc owners don't even know that the front fenders on the Ptuning tc have been flared. In addition, the 285s where tucked nicely inward instead of outward, which also made it less obvious that we were running 285s.
I will post some pictures of the 285 setup when I get back in the office. What we were planning to run at Summit Points and will run at VIR, is a stagger setup with 285s in the front and 255s in the rear. This setup will give the car the traction it needs up front, at the same time reducing understeer.

Thanks, I figured the 255 switch had to do with the hub. Just needed verification that the rim was at least 10" wide.
How's the progressing looking for VIR? Only about 5 more weeks. I'm about 95% sure I'll be heading down for it.

Annoucement: Clutch Masters to sponsor PTuning tC.
We recently spoke with our contacts over at Clutch Masters (www.clutchmasters.com) and they have expressed interest in supporting our Time Attack racing efforts in the PTuning tC. We will be working with them to test out a road race stage 6.5 version of their twin-plate clutch system for the Scion tC--their road race twin-plate setup is very popular with the bmw road race cars. This race version will use a slightly different clutch material combination compared to their stage 6 and 7 system. We will be testing this new twin-plate clutch setup for VIR and we will provide some feedback on the setup to our sponsor as well as the scion tc community. This clutch will be necessary for the power we are looking to make for VIR.
The Clutchmasters twin-plate clutch setup will include a billet aluminum pressure plate housing as well as a billet aluminum flywheel. This setup should allow for some very quick gear shifts, due to the smaller diameter clutch pack.

Great to hear you are putting her back together for VIR
I am still working on a solution for a solid 5x114.3mm hub setup that is easy and low cost to duplicate, all the way around;)

The biggest headache is in the rear, getting hubs to bolt up to our rear uprights.
I have not looked into the SB, did they go to a 5x114.3mm? If so probably a Camry spec hub which will not bolt up to our setup.
