We recently spoke with our contacts over at Clutch Masters (www.clutchmasters.com) and they have expressed interest in supporting our Time Attack racing efforts in the PTuning tC. We will be working with them to test out a road race stage 6.5 version of their twin-plate clutch system for the Scion tC--their road race twin-plate setup is very popular with the bmw road race cars. This race version will use a slightly different clutch material combination compared to their stage 6 and 7 system. We will be testing this new twin-plate clutch setup for VIR and we will provide some feedback on the setup to our sponsor as well as the scion tc community. This clutch will be necessary for the power we are looking to make for VIR.
The Clutchmasters twin-plate clutch setup will include a billet aluminum pressure plate housing as well as a billet aluminum flywheel. This setup should allow for some very quick gear shifts, due to the smaller diameter clutch pack.

If I make it work I will make it known
I have been far to busy just getting my car running after blowing it up, fixing issues that came up at my last TT, making more power, and running my business. If not for blowing it up I would already have it figured out, I will get back at it as soon as I can
Ptuning will be the first to know if I have any success and exactly what it takes;)

yes I will be there trying to keep P Tuning's name in the game for FWD modified while we repair the tC. The NJ track has a 1/2 mile long strait so my xA will have it's work cut out for it as it lacks in the power department, especially now that im running on wastegate pressure (5.5psi about) in effort to keep the motor in one peice for the remaining season. Tested my new motor out this past Sunday in an auto-x and I rocked it getting 6th over-all out of 56 cars http://www.get-fast.net/nasacross/083108res.htm so Im stoked!
The NJ time attack is now a Scion VIP event, first 50 Scions that register get free driving school and track time!! register at www.scionvip.com

YO my lil boring town is pretty awsome now!! Well the only thing that sucks about the track is some spots need grass like under the bridge i've seen sand get in the rumble strips and then make its way to the track which = 1 big no no. just a heads up.

Sorry we haven't been posting lately. As most of you know, we had a $10K+ mishap at the Summit Point's Time Attack a few weeks back. We've been working overtime to try to put the car back together for the last VIR/GT Live Redling time attack event on Oct 3-5. We have less than three weeks to make it happen--we really want to win the 2008 Redline Time Attack Modified FWD championship trophy.
We also wanted to take this opportunity to introduce and thank our new title sponsor and partner, Lustine Scion (www.lustinescion.com). Without their generosity and support with our racing efforts, we would not be able to get the car back on track for VIR. We will keep you posted on our progress for the next few weeks.
Here's some pictures of the broken hub that happened on Saturday's practice session at Summit Point:

Here's some pictures of the damage from the Summit Point crash:

The car on it's way to a frame machine to bend it back to spec:

The car back from the frame machine and ready for some sheet metal removal:

Here's all the new oem replacement sheet metal that must be welded in to place:

Here's what it looks like after we welded all the oem sheetmetal back in place, sealed and painted. Thanks to Seibon again for their continued sponsorship with another brand new CF hood and CF doors. We're test fitting the hood and door and getting things ready for paint:

Once we're done with the body-related components, we'll start putting the new race engine together, including sleeved block, racing cylinder head, camshafts and maybe drysump oil pump (if time permits). We'll keep you posted on the progress of the Ptuning/Lustine tC.
