Did you just go in too hot to the chicane, or was there no traction? It looked like you entered fine, but when you speared off in the other direction you looked really deep.
oh my car was fine I came close to the barrier but it stopped sliding before. What's funny is that when I came in and parked my car the NCCA judge walked up to judge my car for the Scion VIP portion of the car show... I was like "uh yea, i just went off roading so my car is trashed" LOL
I simply entered the turn a hair to late and over-corrected, I tend to break concentraition when a fast car comes up from behind, somthing I have to work on.

******Update on tC*******
well it's crunch time, doesnt seem solid yet but IMO I think we can get it ( Lustine/Ptuning tC) ready for VIR. Today Dry Sump mounting brackets were fabricated and test fitted, and modification of new fender was completed (flared) as well as getting the front bumper modified, just a few things left on the bumper. Much still has to be done over-all though

Here's an update on the progress of our Ptuning/Lustine Time Attack tC. We're putting in a lot of late hours to try to get the car done for the last Redline Time Attack at VIR/GT Live event on Oct 3-5. The front-end has been repaired and improved with extra strut tower bracing to make it even stiffer than before. We also installed the new custom radiator and intercooler. Once the body parts come back from paint, we will be installing it along with the our new race motor and drysump oil pump setup. We'll keep you updated.

The custom hub that we were using was designed/machined incorrectly, so I took it upon myself to design our own hub to address the design flaw of the last hub and still allow the use of both the 5x100mm and 5x 4.5" bolt patterns. We wanted to have the hubs machined from a billet 4130 or 4340 chromoly slug but due to the time constraints and a $400+ next day air fee, we were not able to get the raw material in time, so we opted to use 1045 billet steel (factory hub material). The 1045 or 1055 is not as tough as the chromoly but it will flex a bit before cracking. I tried to put radius (as large as possible) on all corners to help increase the strength of the hub and eliminate any stress riser by chamfering or radiusing all sharp edges. These hub costed us well over $1000 for the pair and that's not including the time i spent designing the hub. The cost would have been significantly cheaper if we didn't have to rush everything and also if we produced these in quantities.
If we don't get these hubs back by Friday to run the 285s, the Ptuning tc will not be lapping VIR, since we can't even use our 255 tire setup because the front passenger rim was bent in the accident and Mackin doesn't even have any rims in stock thats 8.5x18 ET+48 in a 5x100 bolt pattern.
Here's our 3D CAD drawing of the hub:

Here's the hub after machining. Now we need to next day air it to another machine shop to broach the innner splines and have them next day air it back so we can have it by Friday morning. If UPS or Fedex F's up shipping it there or shipping it back, we are basically screwed. This is just one of the many parts that's being next day to us to get the car ready for VIR. We've spent $2K+ on priority shipping on parts for this car in the last few weeks.

Thanks to our sponsors at Clutch Masters for supplying us with their Twin Disc Clutch setup. We're testing out a not yet released road race hybrid clutch disc setup (Stage 6.5). Each disc is running a different friction material.

Here's a few pictures of all the body panels after paint and installed.

The new windshield is on:

Here's our race motor going into the car. This is the backup race motor (05 block) and not the preferred race motor (07 block) that we wanted to run. I will take pictures of the second race motor when we get around to building it, since we didn't have time to snap photos and file piston rings at the same time. We'll be offering our sleeved blocks, lightened cranks, performance cylinder head and turbo cams, once we have a chance to fully test out both motors on the track and on the dyno. Right now we're still experimenting with the ideal bearing clearances and ring gaps and a ton of other new and untested components. We'll also be releasing some 900cc injectors drop injectors for those looking to run beyond the capacity of our 625cc injectors. We plan to test out the 900cc injectors for VIR.

Here's the turbo and manifold installed.

We did another all nighter the other day, building the race motor--I don't like putting together any motor in a rush, but hopefully we didn't forget any tools inside the motor
We still have a two page TODO list, including a lot of fabrication and welding to get the car ready and unfortunately we can only work 24 hrs in a day---these all nighters are starting to take it's toll on everyone and the wife and kids aren't too happy about it either. At this point we need more than luck...we need a miracle to make it to VIR, but we're not going to give up yet. We'll be at VIR regardless of the outcome.

If you need anyone roughed up at Fedex or UPS so that you get your parts on time, just give me a call. I hope that you guys get it all together, you are by far one of the hardest working TA teams.
