Default @@@~~~HORRIBLE@@@~~~

So, last week just as I got onto the expressway my 2005 Scion TC made a loud bang. I was like hmm...what the heck did i ran over! All of a sudden smoke comes out from the vents and the engine oil light comes on. I pulled over to the shoulder lane and turned off my car. Got out of my car and noticed all the engine oil is all over the ground. Got it towed to the dealership where i bought the car. Called insurance company to estimate damages....U know what they told me, sorry we do not cover maintanence damage, so i was like ok, let me call the dealership and ask them is it a defect...they said no. now im stuck with my car inside the shop. they said it needs a new engine..and does n e 1 knows how much is an engine? If anyone on here would like to throw out some offers i will sell the vehicle to u. I am located in southside of chgo. car is a super white 5 spd with just 45k miles on it. with navi sound sys 30g hard drive. brand new bbk (wilwood). dc strut bar in front, greedy in rear...no engine mods..

Yeah man, you should fight that. Doesn't seem like a maintenance issue to me.

What the hell? how is that NOT under warranty if you're stock? Call the dealership up & tell them your friggin car threw a rod. That should be under warranty.

And another thing...if you're stock, why are you posting in forced induction?

You should immediately call a "consumer law" type of lawyer. Yes, they will pinch your recovery, but it will be less than a motor.

If your transmission is not damaged, AEM is looking for a 05-06 5spd transmission for FIC testing...
Theres the thread with more information.

LKQ engine at around 16k mileage cost about 2-2.5g and maintance is around 1g so expect to pay 3.5-4gs if u decide to get a engine with your own money.

but i hope you complain to the dealer and get that thing fixed out of their pockets.
