5sp ecu work on an auto ecu?

I have a 2005 auto scion tc, will the manual ecu work on an automatic?

it would work if you had a 5spd tranny w/ that 5spd ecu but if your car auto and you want to run the 5spd ecu it might act funny

No it will not because the auto tranny will not know when to shift with the 5 speed ECU.

However, ironically enough, the auto ecu will work on a 5 speed.

yeah.. it'll still act slightly funny though because it still wants to spin the engine enough to counteract the slushbox's.. uhm.. (i can't think in the morning..).. thingy...
