AEM F/IC Feedback !!!
I just wanted to get some feedback from boosted tC's that are running the new AEM F/IC. I just purchased it and just wanted to see how things are going with this unit. I've heard about the unit running into issues with needing to put in a resistor but I later heard that the resistor issue was more for automatics and I wouldn't need to bother if im manual. Im looking to run the same boost I have been (8 psi) but I just need a better fuel management then my current SAFC II controller.
I run into a lot of issues with the SAFC II, for example mid boost my car will bog out and lose all power and I would have to let off gas for a sec or so and then get back on it but lightly.
Thanks for feedback.

Thanks crush!
Ive read your post prior to this and there was some helpful info i didnt actually read through entire post from everybody that replied to your original post but im looking for more feedback from other people running this unit just to get their opinion of the unit and how there car has been running and if they have come across any other issues other than what has been posted already "ex. resistor"

It's a decent piggyback, better than SAFC or Greddy Blue. However it is very sensitive to different crank and cam position sensors. The standard 2.2k resistor mod seems to work for most but AEM claims it isn't necessary and there have been cases where the resistors actually caused the very problems they are intended to fix. AFAIK every non-AEM PnP harness comes with the resistors already installed so if you use a harness, you should be good. If you get any P0335, P0340 or P0341 codes with the resistors, try removing them one at a time.

ok ill keep that in mind for when i get it installed. Thanks. Hopefully this unit will do a well enough job even when i decide to up the boost once the motor is built. Just dont have the money for a standalone right now.
