so i talked to ptuning about installing and tuning my dezod kit. The problem is that they will not tune the aem f/ic. the dude i talked to says their tuner has found a firmware problem with it. and they will not use it untill aem gets it fixed. this is the first ive heard of that so should i just go to a different tuner? should i switch to emanage?

 

There's multiple firmwares for it. The newest one came out recently. Which firmware version are they complaining about?

I've used the old and the new and both have worked.

Hello Dave,

We can definitely assist you with the installation of the turbo kit.
However, the AEM F/IC is currently under evaluation. Our tuner believed there may issues with the firmware causing the FI/C to alter the timing control even when the timing has not been adjusted.
Our tuner has been data logging the Fi/C and believed that this is definitely a glitch in the system. This glitch will cause the car to sputter at certain RPM.
Until this issue is resolved by AEM, we no longer offer tuning on the AEM FI/C.

At this time, we recommend you go with the GReddy e-Manage Ultimate running the their pressure sensor. We are runnning this setup on our TA tC with great success.

 

go to the classified section and talk to the guy thats selling the aem fic with harness. he had the same problem with the AEm fic at ptuning he can tell you more about that problem. cause he went through it
