HAHA I hit overboost at around 14psi. Kinda felt like I hit a governor. Atleast I know what it will handle now!

I know. I plan on building the engine and tranny sometime late Q1 next year. HOPEFULLY, but if I blow shi up then I can get money from relatives to repair it.

 

either that or it was all the extra fuel i added and timing i took out above 10psi in case of boost spikes....you may have already done some harm to the engine...any knocking at idle

 

Nope, no knocking, still drives like a dream and my AFRs are spot on. I have spun bearings before and thrown a few rods. I probably should have mentioned I like to push the limits whenever possible.

I used to daily drive a truck jacked up using 2x4s. I also drove my old truck home from the junkyard on the rims because when i wrecked it blew out all but one tire. Life is too short to spend worrying about those small details.

My internet sucks so uploads are not happening. Using Sprint broadband internet... Well this is one of many wrecks with the truck. This was back while it was rocking cut springs! I grew up on a horse ranch in Sealy Texas so there was not alot to do. These things are common place out there.

That truck was wrecked 4 or 5 times. It ended up being a salvage title by the time I sold it. EDIT: never once SERIOUSLY bent the frame. By the time I sold it I swapped the 305 for a 454 and had it supercharged. Went from cut springs to flip kit to bags then back to blocks and a full body drop. I liked to call that color redonkulous red. It was a mix of fire engine red and chevy red. That was also the one that I drove back on the rims (tires were shredded and hanging by the time I got home). After that I swapped in some Helio 20s.

 

No tru-boost here. No boost controller at all but if I ever add one, it will be manual.

 

I thoroughly enjoyed my turbo-smart single stage mbc...pretty good little unit if you ask me.
