its really not that bad, boost is not steady but usually stays around the .4 psi range.. big wastegate, external dump and my current setting seems to like it. I still prefer to use it than my better hydra boost control, it makes me change boost on the fly.

Hix try setting the spring pressure somewhere close to 6.5 maybe try 7 or 7.5, i think 8.7 is kinda high for low boost. I set mine at 7 and i boost me to 9 psi at 3K on a GT30 on duty cycle of 15%

i just looked at his logs again...yep ther is a +/- 2psi variation accross the board. meaning it bounces very quickly between 8 and 10 psi.

thats kinda too much boost to be jumping around... lol does it bounce all across the rpm or just at the start? its not the first time i've heard of that issue though.. if nothing works might as well get a better BC...

It is as soon as I hit the pedal. Reason I got it was I wanted AEM gauges since I got the AEM UEGO, was almost the same price as a regular boost gauge. It works quickly on the fly and was simple to program. It just dosn't hold pressure. Gonna lower my SPr setting to 6.5 and Duty A to 20%. Everything else I am just gonna leave unset and see if that helps.

yeah try playing with the settings a bit before you buy anything else.. if you are consistent without the truboost its prolly not a wg issue.

chris, log program like the aem fic software? i have it, wanna email me the log?

Semi consistent but I don't seem to hit high boost as fast without it. My spring is 8psi but at WOT or partial throttle I am at 6psi until far up the scale.

well it depends...mbc go between 60-140 new.

my old mbc. has a switch so you can go from wastegate spring pressure (low boost) to mbc (high boost)

SPr set to 6.5 and duty to 50% I am pretty steady at 9-10 per turbonetics and ace. Turbonetics said its most likely a bad spring or it really is a 6psi spring.

You have your wastegate crack pressure set too high, set SPr to 1... that is my conclusion. I have had the trueboost for a while and like it alot. And also have seen the good and bad qualities of it on my car as well as customers cars. I wouldnt recommend it for a large turbo set-up because there is no gain control, the duty cycle is the same across the board. Setting the crack pressure doesnt work well, it results in fluxuation. Set it to 1psi and see if your boost stays steady, my bet is it does.

crack pressure will not affect how much boost you hit per same duty cycle. Set SPr to 1psi. Trust me. I have a 5 pound spring, set crack to 1psi. I can get 20psi out of it. If I set crack to 5psi i get fluxuation, saw it on my dyno last tune and on an s2000 recently.
