Default Air/fuel Gauge O2 sensor connection question....

I just got an air/fuel ratio gauge in, and the only problem im having is that i dont know which color wire on the 02 sensor is the signal wire. Can someone please tell me.? And also, to connect the signal wire to the gauge i simply just joint the two wires together and just put electric tape correct ? Thanks.

Which one do you have? Is it a wideband? If not, it will not work correctly.

No its a regular gauge. i know its not going to correctly i just wanted to connect it so that the gauge will just bounce back and forth instead of just having it standing and not moving. i just need to know which color wire is the signal wire on the oxygen sensor.

both, first one (header) is the wideband, second one (s-pipe) narrow.
