Hey guys & gals,

Is anyone ever going to produce a root supercharger for the tC? I think it would be a good idea because reduces mechanical problems of the likes of the centrifugal and It would produce more linear power which I guess would be need more on a FWD car like the tC especially without a LSD.....

I don't think anyone is working on any other S/C for the tC. Even some of the turbos are still being worked out with kinks and such. And there seem to be some possible issues with the current supercharger from TRD anyways.

I think there could be a possible small market for it, but I dont think many would hop on that bandwagon just yet.. too many competitors already.

Good question dude! I think the problem with a roots type blower on the 2AZ would probably be location. Just from looking at the engine bay, it would be kinda difficult to mount one up in the right spot. A roots type blower would probably have to sit on the crank pulley side and would also require a different intake manifold design.

It would be pretty cool to see though... the people at BLITZ have a roots type charger for the xB, maybe they will come up with something for us at some point!
